SMART CARD

Rijeka - Zagreb Motorway introduced a SMART CARD WITHOUT LIMITATION on 15th November 2004, which can be used by any bearer at payment points regardless of vehicle class. SMART card is a pre-paid card which enables all its users easier and faster toll payment, offering subscription in various amounts (minimum 100.00 kn) according to wishes and needs of users without time limitation. The credit on the SMART card can be repeatedly topped up, according to users’ wishes. Each time a user passes the motorway and pays by SMART card, toll amount is reduced by 21,74%.

Purchase price of a SMART card (medium) is 30.00 kn and it is paid upon first purchase and stated on the invoice as a separate item along with the subscription amount. SMART card can be collected after the card has been topped up with the chosen amount, and it can be used two hours after top-up. Pre-paid amount on the SMART card can be paid by payment order, cash, credit and debit bank cards (American Express, Diners Club, Master Card, Master Card Electronic, Maestro, Visa and Visa Electron) in the company's premises in Zagreb (Lučko) and Rijeka (Grobnik). R1 invoice (for companies) is issued on request. American Express and Diners Club credit card users can pay the SMART card subscription in instalments (up to 6 instalments for American Express, 3 or 6 instalments for Diners Club). Upon first purchase, the SMART card can, in addition to the methods stated, be bought by an order form of the user (containing all the elements necessary to issue R1 invoice for companies) and making a payment to our giro account: 2340009-1502010967 (PBZ) for customers in Zagreb and giro account 2340009-1510137367 (PBZ) for customers in Rijeka. In this case, the card can be taken over in person in the company's premises in Zagreb (Lučko) or in Rijeka (Grobnik), after providing a bank statement or competent institution's receipt. SMART card is used for paying toll on any toll plaza when exiting the motorway, by handing the SMART CARD to the cashier, together with the ticket taken from the machine when entering the motorway. When the transaction is completed, the cashier presents the user with an invoice containing the toll charge amount and account balance on the SMART card. By using a SMART card in the period from 1st November to 31st March, the user is given a 23.5%. discount.
