The length of the section between the interchanges is 8.93 km, including the following structures: the tunnels Sopač (775 m) and Sleme (858 m), the Golubinjak Viaduct (579 m) and the Delnice Interchange. The length of the constructed structures is 2.21 km, which accounts for 24.8% of the entire length of the section thus indicating pronounced technical complexity of this part of the route from Rijeka to Zagreb.
The section was opened to traffic as a single carriageway in 1996. It was upgraded to full profile of the motorway in June 2008.
Among smaller structures, four underpasses and an overpass were constructed. They permit better connections of the region and the population on both sides of the motorway.

Due to a traffic accident, which happened at the 234th km of A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway, at Sredanci rest area in direction Lipovac only one road lane is free.
