The overall length of the Krk Bridge is 1.430 m and it was opened to traffic in 1980.
The bridge was built of reinforced concrete structure and it consists of two large arches: large and small. The Tihi Channel Gorge is bridged by the large arch, and the Burni Channel by the small arch. The span of the large arch is 390 m, and this is the longest reinforced concrete structure arch in the world.
Regular improvement of the bridge is carried out due to deterioration caused by salt.
The Krk Bridge became a part of the concession of Autocesta Rijeka-Zagreb d.d. in September 2007.
